Steve Kinser Lands With Tony Stewart

Two of the most successful names in American motorsports are teamming up for 2010 as SPEEDtv.com has learned that Steve Kinser is joining Tony Stewart's team in the World of Outlaws.
Stewart, a champion in USAC, IRL and NASCAR who also fields winning teams in USAC and WoO, couldn't be reached for comment but pairing the 55-year-old legend with new WOO bully Donny Schatz seems like a perfect way of saluting The King's checkered career. "Yep, it's true, Tony is giving me a great opportunity," said Kinser on Thursday afternoon from his shop in Bloomington, Ind. "It's a pretty cool deal for an old guy like me and I can't thank Tony enough."The No. 20 car wasn't quite up to snuff this year so I think he wants to see if I can help turn things around."Of course the irony is that the 20-time WoO champion, winner of 552 A-Mains, will be taking his son, Kraig's, seat as a teammate to Donny Schatz, who has captured four consecutive WOO crowns, including the past two for Tony Stewart Racing. For the full story, click: http://auto-racing.speedtv.com/article/woo-steve-kinser-lands-with-tony-stewart/
