Toronto, ON (February 12, 2010) – When the green flag drops in Daytona on Sunday, it marks the official start of TSN and TSN2’s extensive 2010 NASCAR SPRINT CUP coverage. Once again TSN and TSN2 will give Canadians complete coverage of the full season of racing. TSN’s flag-to-flag coverage of the DAYTONA 500 airs Sunday, Feb. 14 starting at 12 noon ET.

Known as “The Great American Race”, The Daytona 500 features the best stock car drivers in the world as they take on NASCAR’s biggest, richest and most prestigious race. Before the action begins, NASCAR racing legend Darrell Waltrip and former crew chief Jeff Hammond join host Chris Myers for pre-race coverage. The race announcer Mike Joy calls the action with analysis from former champion crew chief Larry McReynolds and Waltrip. Dick Berggren, Steve Byrnes, Matt Yocum and Krista Voda return to cover pit road.
ESPN Classic gets in gear with a weekend full of vintage thrills and spills from Daytona International Speedway with Daytona 500 Weekend from February 12 to 14. The three-day celebration features highlights from past DAYTONA 500s, including Dale Earnhardt Sr.’s triumph in 1998, and Kevin Harvick’s win from 2007 in the closest finish ever recorded at Daytona. ESPN Classic also continues to showcase the most memorable moments from across the world of auto racing every Friday night beginning at 7 p.m. ET.
