shipped and the rest of the orders are being filled. "This is monumental
day for the series, it is all part of a multi-phase re-branding effort,"
stated Series Owner Ron Varney.
"Now that the Mustang bodies are shipping, AR Bodies is putting the
finishing touches on the Camaro which is about two weeks away from being
shipped" continued Varney.
Downey Racing with driver Brent Downey were the first to take delivery
of the new Mustang. "We really like the look of the Mustang and we are
committed to running the Challenge series, so for us there was never a
question of buying one or not" stated Downey Racing owner Mark Downey.
Lorz Motorsports also has taken delivery of their new red Mustang. "We
are really excited about the new bodies and the direction of the series,
Ron and Sandy have done a great job of getting us to tracks to we
couldn't otherwise race. The new bodies are cool and I think the fans
will be able to relate to this car because they may have driven a
Mustang or a Camaro to the track. I think these bodies will be a big
success" said Mike Lorz, co-owner of Lorz Motorsports.
