NASCAR: J.R. Fitzpatrick Sponsorhip Announcement.... Schick Canada

Schick Canada gears up for the Canadian NASCAR series by sponsoring Canadian driving sensation J.R. Fitzpatrick

EDMONTON (July 23, 2009) – Schick Canada announced today it has signed a sponsorship agreement with Canadian driver J.R. Fitzpatrick for the Edmonton Canadian Tire NASCAR Series as well as the Montreal Canadian Tire NASCAR Series and NASCAR Nationwide series.

“J.R. Fitzpatrick is one of the brightest stars in NASCAR racing today.  He shares Schick’s commitment to excellence and performance,” says Erik Rahner, Marketing Director, Schick Canada. “This sponsorship is a continuation of our ongoing support of racing in Canada.  Schick is thrilled to be associated with such a promising talent and a great person like J.R.”

Fitzpatrick, a 21-year-old Canadian racer from Cambridge, Ontario, holds the distinction of being Canada's youngest ever NASCAR Champion, having won the CASCAR Championship in 2006, posting one win, five podium finishes and two pole positions.   Schick is the title sponsor of Fitzpatrick in the Edmonton and Montreal Canadian Tire NASCAR Series and major sponsor at the Montreal NASCAR Nationwide series races.  The Schick logo will appear on Fitzpatrick’s racing suit.  The sponsorship is being activated by BOOM! Marketing, headquartered in Toronto.

“Sponsors are the lifeblood of our industry and are as integral to a successful team as the pit crew or driver.  I am very excited to partner with Schick and look forward to shaving time off of every lap in an effort to win my next race here in Canada,” says J.R. Fitzpatrick.
