NASCAR: Brennan Didero to make his NASCAR debut at Kawartha Speedway

HAMILTON, ON - Brennan Didero, driver of the #24 Lucas Oil Products / Benson Auto Parts Chevrolet, will take what he has learned racing in the Lucas Oil Sportsman Cup Series to another level this coming weekend as he will make his first start in the NASCAR Canadian Tire Series driving the #66 Holmar Plumbing Dodge at Kawartha Speedway.

Didero began racing last year in 2008, and after 12 events and some superb runs, went on to clinch the Lucas Oil Sportsman Cup Rookie of the Year, as well, capped off his first year with a 5th place finish in the Championship points.

This year the Ancaster, Ontario racer kept his momentum going strong by becoming the only driver in the Lucas Oil Sportsman Cup Series to finish in the top 10 of every race event, and finished the season off with a solid 3rd place finish in the Lucas Oil Sportsman Cup Championship, only 3 points out of 2nd place - doing so without a single DNF.

"We had planned on returning next year to the Lucas Oil Sportsman Series to take a shot at the Championship and at the same time were also planning on running some NASCAR Canadian Tire Shows. But the window of opportunity opened a little early for us and now we will make our NASCAR debut this year instead which I think is awesome,"  said Didero.

Kawartha Speedway may be Didero's first NASCAR start, but you can be assured it wont be his last as he plans on racing in both series in 2010.
