The Kawartha Durham Kart Club is proud to announce the participants of the Bridgestone Racing Academy’s 3-session Thrill of a Lifetime lapping day which will take place on the Mosport Driver Development Track on October 13. Originally available to 12 worthy recipients, Bridgestone has increased the number to 16 members of KDKC.
President Paul Evans stated “We are very pleased and privileged to once again have this opportunity – a perk to our members now in its 6th year that we believe is unparalleled at any other kart club in Canada. The fact that the Bridgestone Racing Academy increased their invitation to 16 people shows how much respect they have for our club and our members’ abilities.”
The Bridgestone Racing Academy offers the thrill of driving an open wheel race car to just about everyone. Whether it's a 1/2 day lapping instruction for a complete novice, the required elements to obtain a racing license, mechanics training or a corporate fun day, a variety of programs are available. With an enviable safety record, well maintained cars and expert instructors a day at the Bridgestone Racing Academy is unforgettable.
The attendees are a mix of veteran racers with F2000 experience and rookies who will be climbing into the Bridgestone Racing Academy’s new Van Diemen race cars for the very first time. This year’s winners are Quinn Dewsbury, Jeff Church, Dennis Woods, AJ Emms, Jeff Jacobs, Nicholas Lauzon, Kyle Painter, Andy Fiorini, Randy Packham, Paul Evans, Kyle Hope, John Beck, Patrick Pleasance, Bruce Panes, Alan Hann and Sean Wakfer.
