NASCAR Nationwide Series race in Montreal

The NASCAR Nationwide Series cars just fired their engines. There are reports of heavy rain on the west island of Montreal and the wind is coming this way, so the massive crowd will likely see a wet race again this year.

There are eight Canadians in the starting field for the NAPA 200 Presented by Dodge at Circuit Gilles Villeneuve: Ron Fellows (qualified third-fastest), Jacques Villeneuve (6th), Andrew Ranger (9th), Jean-Francois Dumoulin (16th), J.R. Fitzpatrick (18th), Alex Tagliani (23rd) and Patrick Carpentier (40th). Edmonton's Daryl Harr failed to qualifying.

Competition yellow scheduled at lap 10 of the 72-lap race.
