KDKC Race #9, sponsored by Mike Adams of MG Tires will utilize the much anticipated new track that has been incorporated into the existing super fast straights and high speed banking of Kawartha Speedway. The new paving sections as designed by Derek Lynch of Kawartha Speedway with technical assistance from Enzo Chiovitti of 3S Go-Karts provides more high speed, technical sections and will allow for additional configurations.
What better way to end the summer than to try out something new, and what better way to thank the KDKC members for their loyalty and hard work than with FREE TIRES. Yes, there will draws’ for free MG Yellows courtesy of Mike Adams and there will other great prizes given throughout the day. The always popular trivia contest will be tougher than ever and there will definitely be a rules question, so make sure you come prepared.
The layout will match the one to be used at the Brian Stewart Racing Karting Championship that will take place on September 5-7. This will be a perfect opportunity for racers to get in some seat time before the big race. Championship points are very close in most classes, so the BSRKC race at Kawartha will once again be the deciding factor in determining the winner.
Classes for the day include Novice, Junior Light and Heavy, Senior Light and Heavy and Honda Masters. 2-stroke and shifter karts will be accommodated if enough show up. See the KDKC website for practice and race day schedules and information. Practice on the 29th is only $40 and the race day fee is $65 for both members and visitors. Or sign up for both on Saturday for only $80. Spec fuel station for all 4-stroke classes is the Fraserville Esso, 1315 County Rd. 28 (just 500m south of the track).
Visitors are always welcome. KDKC continues to attract more and more spectators as curiosity about the club from future and potential members and their families grows. There is no charge to come out and watch the racing and cheer on your favorite driver to a first place finish in their race. Enter through the tunnel by the KDKC banner, and park to the left after coming in under the horse track.
