Plus: Eight Canadian drivers are among the 45 entries for the NAPA Auto Parts 200 NASCAR Nationwide Series Race. Among them are defending race winner Ron Fellows, who will be driving for JR Motorsports, and former Formula One driver Jacques Villeneuve (son of the track's namesake) who will drive for Braun Racing. The others include part-time Sprint Cup competitor Patrick Carpentier (Michael Waltrip Racing), 2007 NASCAR Canadian Tire Series champion Andrew Ranger (CJMRacing), Jean Francois Dumoulin (R3Motorspots), J.R. Fitzpatrick (Kevin Harvick Inc.), D.J. Kennington (Specialty Racing) , and Alex Tagliani (MacDonald Motorsports).
Two drivers - Kyle Busch (Joe Gibbs Racing) and Colin Braun (Roush Fenway Racing) - are planning to run both the Camping World Truck Series race Friday night at Chicagoland Speedway and then the Nationwide event at Montreal. In addition to Busch there are three other full-time Sprint Cup drivers in the field: Carl Edwards (Roush Fenway), Marcos Ambrose (JTG Daugherty Racing) and Paul Menard (Yates Racing).
Among the road-course specialists entered will be Max Papis (Phoenix Racing), Boris Said (RAB Racing), Justin Marks (Braun Racing), Tony Ave (Means Racing), Kris Szekeres (SK Motorsports), Chris Cook (MSRP Motorsports) and Tom Hubert (MSRP Motorsports). Plus, Brad Keselowski, Kenny Wallace, Steve Wallace and Jeffrey Earnhardt.
Enjoy double duty from Andrew Ranger, J.R. Fitzpatrick and D.J. Kennington in the NASCAR Canadian Tire Series Race.
Carl Edwards,Marcos Ambrose team up for Montreal Grand-Am race. Roush Fenway Racing says one of its NASCAR Sprint Cup Series, Carl Edwards, will share a Grand-Am Rolex Sports Car Series entry with JTG Daugherty Racing Cup driver Marcos Ambrose in the August 29 race at Circuit Gilles Villeneuve. The Dallara-Ford will be entered by Doran Racing and will carry sponsorship from Aflac, Subway, iRacing.com and Aussie wines.
