TSN: TSN's F1 coverage goes full throttle in 2010 with live coverage of every race

Toronto, ON (March 12, 2010) – Formula 1 will be burning up the track all season long on TSN with live coverage of all 19 races from the international auto racing series.  Coverage gets underway with the first race of the season, the BAHRAIN GRAND PRIX, this weekend with live qualifying on Saturday, March 13 at 5:55 a.m. ET and the race on Sunday, March 14 live at 7:55 a.m. ET (see attached for complete broadcast schedule).

The CANADIAN GRAND PRIX makes its return to the Formula 1 series in 2010 and TSN has live coverage beginning with qualifying on Saturday, June 12 and the race itself on Sunday, June 13.  After being removed from the schedule in 2009, the race returns to Montreal’s famous circuit Gilles-Villeneuve for a 31st year in 2010.  TSN’s Formula 1 coverage in 2010 continues to utilize the live feed from BBC featuring the popular play-by-play duo of Jonathan Legard and Martin Brundle handling commentary and analysis duties, respectively.

The 2010 season promises to be even more exciting than the last as reigning world champion Jenson Button has joined McLaren and will race alongside his new teammate – and 2008 world champion – Lewis Hamilton.  Meanwhile, Formula 1 superstar Michael Schumacher has come out of retirement to join Mercedes GP looking to add another title to his record seven world championships.  A new points system that offers greater rewards for better finishes is sure to increase the competition between teams and teammates alike.
