BROCKVILLE ONTARIO SPEEDWAY: Danny O'Brien honoured at banquet

Even though the 2010 racing season is less than three weeks away, there was a little unfinished business left before the 2009 season can be put to rest, and that was to honour Danny O’Brien and the rest of the Brockville Ontario Speedway champions from the past year at the annual Brockville Ontario Speedway awards banquet.

At the end of the evening, Danny was quick to thank his sponsors, crew and car owners Darren and Todd Kendrick, who made the trip to Brockville from St. Catharines, Ontario. “It was a great season, and I really can’t thank my crew and our sponsors enough for everything that they do”, says O’Brien.  “We are all looking forward to the upcoming season.”

Danny found victory lane 8 times in 2009 at Brockville, and captured his 9th overall championship at the BOS, and a very impressive 4th consecutive title.  These phenomenal numbers add to the 127 Small Block wins, 11 Big Block feature wins and 5 other track championships that O’Brien has collected during his career.

As for the 2010 season, Danny plans to run weekly at the Brockville Ontario Speedway on Saturday nights, and the Cornwall Speedway on Sundays.  In addition to the two weekly races, Danny and the Global Warranty, 1000 Islands RV, Pat’s Radiator, 103.7 BOB FM, Jackson’s Landscaping & Property Maintenance, Murdock’s Cement Finishing, Stover Bus Lines, Kendrick Racing team will launch a full assault on the Mr. DIRTcar 358 Modified Super DIRTcar series which begins April 17th at Chapman’s Can Am Motorsports Park in Lafargeville, New York.  Danny will also run select events at Can Am, Mohawk, and various other tracks throughout the northeast.
