The Grisdale Triple Crown race #3, originally set for Saturday, August 8, will now be run on Sunday, August 23 due to the inclement weekend weather for the originally scheduled event August 8, and rain date August 9.  Flamboro Speedway owner-promoter John Casale says the weather forecast simply made it unfair to fans, competitors and sponsors to try and hold the event "between raindrops" and with the threat of thunderstorms in the Sunday forecast, it was also a safety concern for all.
The event has now been re-scheduled to Sunday, August 23 with a 4pm start time.  The pit gates will open at 1pm, with practice beginning at 2pm.
Spectator gates will open at 2pm for fans who wish to watch the practice sessions, and racing is scheduled to begin at 4pm.
The first two races in the Grisdale Triple Crown Tournament have set the stage for a hotly contested final event!  There have been two different winners already this year, and last year's Champion Paul Howse already has one of them.  He wants to bring the #8 Truck Town Late Model back to victory lane and again claim the Grisdale Triple Crown Championship!  But the Quaker State #36 of Gary Elliott sits a single point back of Paul Howse, and this 40-year racing veteran wants to put the Grisdale Triple Crown championship into his resume.   Plus past champions like Jason Shaw, Scott Lyons, and Todd Campbell haven't surrendered their challenges to claim the crown for themselves.
