Jake Thompson heads to New Jersey for Round 3 of the Volkswagen Jetta TDI Cup

Racing for the Right To Play continues this weekend with Round 3 of the Volkswagen Jetta TDI Cup at New Jersey Motorsports Park. Our first weekend with the program was a huge success, as I was able to complete 27 laps on track, and added 10 bonus laps by finishing on the podium in Race 2. All together over $1000 was pledged towards our final donation.

Thanks to your support our current pledge total is now at $26.95 per lap. I am also happy to report that the program seemed to generate a great deal of interest at the track with several people asking for more information about Right To Play.

Once again, you can follow the action all weekend long at www.jakethompson.ca/righttoplay/, where you can also find out more information about the program or fill out the pledge form. For live updates from the track be sure to check out my twitter feed at twitter.com/jakethompson19.

About Racing for the Right To Play
For the 2010 Racing Season, Jake Thompson Motorsports has partnered with Right To Play to help raise money and awareness for children in some of the most disadvantaged areas of the world. Companies and individuals will have the opportunity to pledge a small donation for every lap Jake completes as part of the 2010 TDI Cup Season. In return for their support, at the final event of the year the #19 car will have the name of every contributor proudly displayed on the hood.
