Chris Raabe and 01 race team off to another fantastic season!

Chris Raabe and the 01 race team just seem to be getting better each and every year. One of the teams biggest accomplishments to date is winning 10 championships in two years, this is something that no other race team in North America has achieved.

This year, the team is off to a better start than in previous seasons. After five nights of racing, Raabe has two wins and three second place finishes.

This season in dirt, Raabe will race Friday nights at the all new Mohawk Speedway, located just south of Cornwall, Saturday nights at Brockville Speedway, where he has won two championships in the past, and Sunday nights at the Cornwall Speedway, who added several modified sportsman for their program.

Raabe will be looking forward to running at Cornwall Speedway, where he has previously run three series races and has won all three.

The division is growing leaps and bounds over the past two years and this year will have well over 3000 in that class of modified. It is a very competitive division and with the engine, tire, carburetor and shock rules, the driver and the car setup are the utmost of importance.

Raabe and his team are coming back this year and trying to win a third championship in this division. No one in the history of dirt motorsports has done that before. The team's goal is to focus more on the DirtCAR Series and not worry about the local track championships.

The team's pavement goal for 2010 is to compete in a few NASCAR Canadian Tire Series races with their 2008 Monte Carlo. The team is still looking for sponsorship, as funding is always the hardest thing. A team's budget per race is approximately $15,000. The team is looking for three sponsors per race at approximately $5,000 each. With broadcasting from coast to coast with TSN there are some great sponsorship opportunities.
