Brighton Speedway: Ready to Race

BRIGHTON, ONTARIO - After a successful weekend of testing the track drivers are ready to race!  More than 70 cars took to Brighton Speedway this past Saturday and Sunday to test out the 2010 rides and the tracks new surface.  Everything from four wheelers to sprint cars took laps in order to prep for this Saturday’s Coca Cola Full Throttle Season Opener!  

You don’t want to miss the action this Saturday, May 8th when the 2010 season will officially get kicked off. The first green flag of the season will fly on the Bainer;’ Radiators Canadian Modifieds, Brighton Automotive Pro Stocks, Bill’s Johns Comp 4 and the Quinte Towing Stingers at 7:00 pm.  Many of the all new DIRTcar Pro Late Models will also be on hand Saturday running hot laps and doing the final prep work in anticipation of their first night of competition on the track Saturday, May 22nd.

Fans too will be pumped about the Coca Cola Full Throttle season opener as they get treated to some great racing action after the long winter.  As an additional bonus, fans will get their first taste of racing for 2010 for only $2.00 for general admission with a donation to the Brighton Fare Share Food Bank!  Fans are asked to bring a non-perishable food donation as we attempt to fill up the 2010 Campbellford Chrysler Pace Truck to capacity with donations to the food bank. 

“We are all excited to kick of the new season but it is especially nice to have fun and support a great cause like the food bank as well!  It will be a great night for everyone involved, fans, drivers, staff and the food bank” states track promoter Mark Rinaldi.
