Parts for Trucks Return to the CARQUEST Pro Stock Tour for 10th Year

(Halifax, NS, May 4, 2010) Parts for Trucks, the largest distributor of heavy duty truck and trailer parts in Atlantic Canada, is celebrating their 10th anniversary as a major Sponsor of The CARQUEST Pro Stock Tour in 2010. Parts for Trucks will be the presenting sponsor of four Pro Stock Tour events. Parts for Trucks will present three 100-lap events, June 26th at Oyster Bed Speedway in PE, July 24th at Speedway 660 in Geary, NB and August 14th at Riverside International Speedway in Antigonish, NS. The final Parts for Trucks event will close the CARQUEST Pro Stock Tour Season with a 200-lap feature at Scotia Speedworld in Halifax, NS on September 11th.

Parts for Trucks, now 15 locations strong in Atlantic Canada, are also returning with the Parts for Trucks Challenge; a contingency program in which drivers accumulate points based on their finishing positions in each of the four Parts for Trucks sponsored events. A cash bonus is paid to the top three points-getters at the year-end awards banquet. Last season CARQUEST Pro Stock Tour champion Shawn Turple (Enfield, NS) took home the top prize, followed by Shawn Tucker (Fredericton, NB) in second and Greg Proude (Springvale, PE) in third.

Race fans don’t have long to wait to see action on the track as the CARQUEST Pro Stock Tour season opener; The Lucas Oil 100 is set for June 5th at Scotia Speedworld!
