KARTING: Kawartha Durham Kart Club and Toronto Kart Club hit the track together

3S Go-karts, Sutton will be the venue for Kawartha Durham Kart Club Race #2 and Toronto Kart Club Race #3 on Saturday, May 30. These two great clubs will get together for a day of competitive kart racing as young and not-so-young go wheel to wheel on the technical 3S Go-karts track.

Classes for the day include Novice, Junior Light and Heavy, Senior Light, Medium and Heavy, Honda Masters, Junior and Senior TAG and the always challenging Subaru Series.

Registration begins at 7:00 and on-track activities begin at 9:00. As always, visitors are very welcome to partake in what should be a great day of racing, rivalry and camaraderie. Spec fuel station for all 4-stroke classes is the Petro Canada in Baldwin, just south of Sutton on Highway 48.

Toronto Kart Club has been around since the early 1990’s and has been the training ground for such Canadian racing greats as Paul Tracy, Scott Goodyear and Ron Fellows to name a few. TKC strives to offer it’s members as much variety and challenge as possible while promoting the sport of karting as an enjoyable form of individual and/or family recreation. The TKC schedule runs from April to the end of October with a street race at the Hershey Centre in Mississauga in August and is the host club for the Subaru Canada Karting Series.

The Kawartha Durham Kart Club calls Kawartha Downs and Speedway their home. Located in Fraserville, Ontario (south west of Peterborough), this independent club - created, organized and run by volunteers, has always been focused on providing a fun, safe and family oriented yet highly competitive environment for hobbyists and budding race stars alike. In previous years, the club has hosted many club, regional, national and international events including the Sunoco Ron Fellows, the Canadian Nationals and a North American Karting Championship Race in 1998 as established with CIK-FIA.
