Merrittville Speedway: May 23 event preview... CAA Niagara Night

Thorold, Ontario (May 22) – CAA Niagara Night at Merrittville Speedway will focus on Mechanics in an action-packed night at Dirt Track racing action – Saturday May 23rd.

Mechanics play a major role in every one of Merrittville Speedway’s 5 Lucas Oil Weekly Racing Series Divisions and so while drivers form the L. St. Amand Enterprises 358 Modifieds, Original Pizza Logs Sportsman, Hoosier Stocks, Modern Corporation Open Wheel Lites and Turn 4 Collision 4 Cylinders compete in qualifying and feature events – the mechanics will also share the spotlight.

“When you see each feature winner in Victory Lane,” informs (Merrittville GM) Erica Bicknell, “you always see a group come across the infield to celebrate with their driver … every race team has some amount of support …  this is their time to shine!”

So every race team has an equal shot and no chance to do some homework – the details of the Mechanics Event will not be released until CAA Night May 23rd prior to the start of the event.

“CAA Niagara just completed some training for their drivers here,” adds Bicknell, “and like the Tow Truck operators that come to your aid on the road … participants in our Mechanics Event won’t know what to expect until the start of our competition.”
