Kawartha Durham Kart Club Race #4 Results

Kawartha Durham Kart Club with guests, Simcoe Kart Club took to the track on Sunday, June 14 for their 4th race of the season sponsored by Body Boomers Fitness Clubs. With an all Honda serving, there was plenty of dicing and drafting, plenty of late breaking and no shortage of excitement as 6 different classes put on a great show for the ever increasing number of spectators that are taking a keen interest in this great club.

The Masters were up first and even though Randy Packham crossed the line in first place, he was tested and pushed the entire race by Carl Thompson with John Beck not far behind. Paul Draganac, the SKC ace and Quinn Dewsbury rounded out the top 5.

In Senior Lite, it was an all SKC top 3 of Michael Glaze, Jeremy Brutzki and Melissa Glaze with new mini-stock driver Kyle Hope preparing to do double duty in a car and in a kart and Ryan Brutzki right behind in 5th.

The Novice class was once again dominated by tiny powerhouse Andre Fiorini. Cole Ledson and Cole McFadden did everything they could to keep up but had to settle for 2nd and 3rd. William Dawson and Marlie Owen, getting faster every week, came in a strong 5th.

Junior Heavy was another race to watch as Julius Makos once again showed why he’s a force to be reckoned with. Another member of the super fast Brutzki clan, Jessica Brutzki in 2nd and the always hard working Marcus Balkison in 3rd. Jesse Ward and Danny Bededict finished in 4th and 5th.

Junior Lite saw Trevor Rancier take the win, but had to work hard to find the right line through the technical sections of Kawartha. Nicholas Ledson, Bailey Jacobs Dean Reilly and Matteus Makos in 5th who did a great job after having to switch engines mid-way through the day.

Senior Heavy is always a great race to watch at Kawartha and Sunday’s battle was no different. Taking the checkered flag was AJ Emms, followed by Kevin Barry, Patrick Pleasance, Dennis Woods having an amazing race with a slightly bent front end, and Craig Walker in 5th.

KDKC Race #5 will take place on Sunday, June 21 and is sponsored by Official Photographer of the Kawartha Durham Kart Club, On-Track Promotions.
