Scotia Speedworld's Weekly Racing Series Returns to Friday Nights

(Halifax, NS, June 9, 2009) Scotia Speedworld’s Weekly Racing Series returns to its regular day and time this Friday, June 12th, racing starts at 7:00pm.  This weeks featured 5 divisions include; Sojourn Signs Bandoleros, Miller Tire Thunder cars, Lockhart Truck Center Hobby Stocks, Legends and the C&R Auto Supply Sportsman.  Gates open at 5:00pm and the Strictly Hydraulics pits open at 4:30pm.

Last week was an off week for Scotia Speedworld’s Weekly Racing Series as the venue hosted thousands of fans for the Monster Jam Summer Tour.  This Friday, June 12th only, anyone who presents a 2009 Monster Jam ticket stub will get in for only $5.00.  This promotion is valid for main grandstand seating only and does not apply to the pits.  Monster Jam ticket stubs will have no cash value at the pit gates.

Last week saw our first winner of the Miller Tire Going Further Fan Award.  All fans are encouraged to show their colors and support their favourite drivers.  Bring a poster, wear your driver’s colors, sport their number, anything you like, the fan who goes the furthest will win a Miller Tire prize pack.  Each week we will be giving away great prizes to the best fans!
